I read the book right before watching the movie and this is one of the top 3 best movies based on a Stephen King's books. It's mostly fateful, and the changes the script writers decided to make improved the story rather than diluting it.
Children's acting was very good and the scene with the baseball kid was unbelievably well done.
I'm giving this movie 9/10 based on how well it depicts authors vision, not as a standalone work of cinema. If I had to give score to the movie, I would rather rate the book because director and script writers did almost flawless work transferring it to the screen.
Book score would be a 7/10.
